The Solestian Chronicles
What happens if you fell into the memoir of an ancient goddess?
When I was seventeen, I had a dream about two teenagers that found a book in the woods. The world started looking a little funny—what was an exposed forest entrance suddenly became an enclosure of leaves and branches, the sky went from dappled leaves to a brewing storm in the distance. Suddenly, they were in the middle of a different forest, lush with mint green foliage and honey-colored flowers, bordering a coastline.
A few years later, the characters have changed, the ensemble grew, and now I’m developing my own book for it. It’s been a rough 2025 for the writing portion, but I hope to have something concrete soon.
"Discovering the Library" (2025). Perhaps the most ironic thing for me as a writer is my white room syndrome. That's right, I, an artist, couldn't think of designing a reasonable library. I knew early on that I wanted my characters Griffin and Violet (L-R) to uncover a secret room. After I sketched out composition, coloring came fairly easy. I think the hardest part had to be shading the props. I plan on expanding this illustration from a different perspective, with something more dynamic and imposing.
"Marcheline" (2023). I will admit that this series is full of my interests. One of them was K-Pop; I imagined Violet and Marcheline both debuting as a duo in their world, where they both had a very nature-oriented theme going on. My primary inspirations were the Japanese duo ClariS and K-pop girl group GFriend, visually and sonically. This inspired me to pick up music again and try my hand at composing music, but music theory is far harder than it sounds. And looks.

Designed in 2022, these were the first ever character headshots I made for my ensemble. My one sentence pitch for these characters (in context of the first book) was, “Urban fantasy kids meet high fantasy”. There’s a lot to be desired in all facets, but I knew I had to put a face to their names as soon as possible. I’ve made a few concept illustrations for the girls, but they aren’t a reflection of my current skills now. I plan on redrawing them at some point.
